Is online dating for losers?

The crisis facing the modern fast paced world is evident .Life is too fast and friends are thinning out in preference to pursuits of better financial status and other luxuries. However everybody is missing a friend and would like to have more of them. If only there was more time.

You want it to happen but the demands of modern  limited social  life have managed to control you. In the same vein there are very few who are able to link themselves in the hook of romance or even platonic friendships which have a potential for the romantic destination.

Oh, those were the days!
Bring back your old days of yore to your memory and you will flashback to those days when you were being hotly pursued like you were the only chick or the only hunk around. In school they were at your feet and all that you had to do was say yes. In college you were even better off and you had to literally beat them off with sticks for being at your back. Hopeful love letters and darling cards and merciful love merchandise of valentines day, was showered on you in abundance just like many of your colleagues.

Coming back to today’s reality, most of all these aspirants got married someday, moved to another country or state, joined the clergy or realized that being gay was a better excuse rather than remain single. So where does that leave “dear single you” ? In the search pool of course. Are you there because you are a loser? Or are you there because you did not spend time on yourself? Or to look for someone or keep your eyes and ears wide open and allow the bouquets and the flowers to provide better meaning than decorating your beautiful vases?

Did you miss something?
Indeed far from being the loser, you were probably just the opposite. You won too often and it probably made your head far too heavy that you thought that the stream of people queuing at your love nest would never stop. But when your doors are shut how many would find it comfortable to knock?. When your life has been so busy where is the time for you to consider love? So nothing happened. However today the alarm bells are ringing for you in pursuit of wedding bells because the pool of eligible singles is getting thinner and slimmer by the day and your age is looking up like a ticking time bomb.

what do you do now?
With these facts staring at you like a mirror, have you ever thought about the prospect of dating online? To be honest it is probably designed for the busiest people on earth and can dramatically increase the size and width of your horizons by testing the waters of a dating pool which is larger than you can ever imagine. All this at the click of a gentle mouse within the palm of your hand.

But online dating is for losers. Really?
But what sets you thinking is the mistaken notion that online dating is a sign of desperation. A final resort after exhausting all options at your disposal. You have been told that online dating is for losers and you have been avoiding this avenue to the best of your abilities.

But is it true? Is online dating really for losers? Or on the contrary is it a loss of time, money ,patience and other virtues if you don’t resort to online dating? In fact the latter seems to be more accurate and that is because online dating as some people know it has come a long way since it was first introduced in the nineties as just a fun way for people to chat and socialize over the net most often with little or no seriousness.

Today traditional dating has somehow lost its luster and blunted its reach in comparison to the enormous reach of online dating which saves you time, allows convenience and provides hundreds and thousands of singles to choose from at an affordable cost

Why online dating?
It is indeed no longer a secret platform for a club of liars and “married but looking” adulterous groups of people who find unsuspecting men and women to prey on. On the contrary it is a stage for respectable singles to successfully search and find love online with similar people having similar interests and similar predicaments of note being able to find love within the circumference of their friends circle or social boundaries.

In online dating on the internet there is a dating group for every one under the sun. From every region of the world you can imagine . Almost every religion you can possibly think of. Every class and caste. Every race. There is an online dating service for almost everyone. Because there is acceptance of this medium from all quarters and all corners of all societies. Even the stubborn regions and religions have succumbed to this powerful medium owing to its wonderful reach and superb convenience.

The best part about online dating is that you are able to get to know about the other person in advance of your meeting or even contacting the prospective single. This gives you the luxury of carefully checking credentials, likes, dislikes, tastes , hobbies, education and even physical attributes which are state in black and white.

For those who would like to align personal details with the photographical visuals, the same is also available in most cases which can help you to narrow your choice based on your preferences. Such an advantage is not available in traditional dating where you often get to know that the person you are dating is completely different from what you thought and not having sufficient data about that person often strains a relationship after having covered some distance eventually cutting it of under acrimonious circumstances. This can be avoided in online dating to a large extent

What precautions and dating tips do you need to take in online dating  to enhance your dating experience

  • 1. Although online dating has come a long way there are still some mischief mongers out there in the virtual world. While you may find someone compatible online, you should be cautious until you know the person well. Treat all advances, and online relationships with utmost caution and keep your close people in formed about all your meetings with online dating people. In short be sensible and understand the few limitations of being in an online relationship with a person until you know that person thoroughly well. I am not suggesting to being overcautious though

  • 2. Be open about yourself in an online dating relationship but don’t go headlong right from the start. Take your own time for the pace to set in your relationship. Don’t compare it to conventional methods or college romances. In short don’t take your expectations too high or too low. Just treat each date as it comes with an open mind.

  • 3. Just like how you would meet people in conventional dating, prepare yourself reasonably well before you meet your date. Understand the focus of the person form their dating profile and be honest while you date and converse. Groom yourself well before your date so that physical shortcomings are not a distraction for you.

  • 4. Whenever you get your right person for you among the list that you shortlisted for yourself, don’t get attached to the online dating platform .In fact gradually move away completely from it. Once you get your right partner ,it is better to abandon the dating arena for yourself and it is time to recommend it to your friends.

Online dating is for everyone. Losers and winners. After all, if abided well isn’t Love the ultimate winner?
